Check-ups

Our check-ups are designed so that they relax and put you at ease. You are expected to visit 2 times a year so that we can make sure that your teeth are in the right condition.

What to expect

When you come for your check-up you will have to wait beforehand in a waiting room until the dentist is ready to see you. Music and magazines are put out to allow you to pass the time. After the wait, the dentist will call you in and will examine your teeth. This will involve using a mirror and a torch to find anything wrong. If there is nothing wrong then you book your appointment and leave.

• How much does it cost? – the usual check-up will cost £10 for any patient unless you are an NHS patient who will then have it for free
• How long does it take? – Most check-ups usually take around 5-10 minutes to complete as long as nothing serious is found.
• Does it involve anything like a drill? – Never, the only instruments used are a torch and a mirror to check all the teeth are healthy and functioning correctly.
• how do I book it? – bookings can be done on this website, by phone, by email or when you visit the practice. Simply let the receptionist know when you can come back to see the dentist.
